I’ve been a print + web designer professionally for 10 years and I love infusing my practice with good design (of all forms). I can’t get enough of good typography. I spend hours photo editing. I drive my husband crazy with throw pillows. I’ve just always been an artistic individual. What I haven’t always been is a healthy eater! Growing up in the South eating fried chicken every Sunday and livermush at Grandma’s doesn’t exactly set a healthy example (although every bite was served with a ton of love).

I learned just how important food can be when sitting in an acupuncturist’s office and being told that going gluten-free will help with my PCOS and infertility. My husband and I had tried to have a baby for over 18 months with no luck. I was already seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist but I really wanted to approach my baby mission with a natural and whole-body approach. It took about 6+ months of close monitoring, tweaking my diet and taking supplements but I finally saw that positive sign all couples longing for a baby are waiting for. Conventional + Traditional Medicine for the win!

My pregnancy uncovered more surprises with gestational diabetes, thyroid nodules and, skin issues, hormonal imbalance, adrenal fatigue and many other symptoms that a lot of women face and may go undetected for years. I again have and still am experimenting with alternative therapies that strengthen my entire system, rather than looking at it piece by piece.



Earlier this year I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made! Although I’m a work in progress (aren’t we all?!), the knowledge I’ve gained has helped me connect with my body and learn what it needs to thrive. I’ve been given the tools I need to support the health of myself and my family and I founded Foster Wellness because I want the same for you.

I read an article and 2 lines really resonated with me: “It’s well-documented that progress is closely related to happiness. Our general sense of well-being has a stronger relationship with our trajectory in life than our station.” Hopefully you are eager to maintain an upward trajectory and have found the resources on this site helpful. After all, it’s my mission to help people live fuller lives armed with the understanding of what supports their unique bodies.

I use a multi-faceted approach to wellness: using food as medicine, managing stress, seeking out less toxic alternatives to many medicines and products used daily, and honoring your purpose in life.
