My Most Recommended Beautycounter Products
I’ve been a Beautycounter consultant now for almost a year and have had a chance to try many of the skincare, makeup, body care and even hair care products! If you want a little more background on how I got started as a consultant, you can read more about it here.
Like the name suggests, we are countering the beauty industry by educating others on the importance of reading labels for ingredient safety, how to choose cleaner options, and even sharing a solution through high performing products. We also advocate for better legislation and more health protective laws by lobbying on Capitol Hill. After all, our mission is to get safer products into the hands of everyone!
I love Beautycounter products in part because it’s basically the easy button for busy families who don’t have time to research the cleanest brands. A lot of time can be spent debunking marketing claims, understanding how a company sources and processes the ingredients they use, and if those ingredients have any health or environmental implications. With Beautycounter, all of our products fit the same high safety standards. And did you know we are B Corp Certified? The B stands for “benefit,” and it means that, unlike the traditional corporate structure, we will consider people, planet, and profits equally. I’m proud to represent a company that sets the bar high and uses their business for the good of others.
Now on to the products!
Overnight Resurfacing Peel
This thing is next-level good. It uses 15 botanically-derived acids to refine pores and fine lines and encourage skin cell turnover for glowing and smoother looking skin. It even takes care of dark spots without irritation, flakiness or over-drying. Use 3-4 nights a week after cleansing at night and wash your face like usual the next morning. Do yourself a favor and get it! It’s one of the best price points I’ve seen too at $58.
Nourishing Cream Exfoliator
I love how this cleans my face with little beads and leaves my skin feeling balanced (not overly dry) and smooth from the exfoliation.
The No.2 Plumping Facial Oil
This has made such a difference in how my skin feels. It does what it says – plumps and moisturizes! I add a drop or two to the Rejuvenating Night Cream and I wake up with skin feeling as it should.
Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
Essentially, my Holy Grail makeup product. It’s lightweight, even coverage, no nasty smell, doesn’t collect in fine lines and has SPF included! Plus it pulls double duty with hyaluronate to help hydrate skin while you wear it. I highly recommend. (I wear shade No.2)
Baby Balm and Baby Soothing Oil
I keep a tube of the baby balm by the changing pad in the nursery but also in my diaper bag at all times. It’s a great alternative to petroleum-based creams like Aquaphor! It’s coconut oil based and works well to moisturize delicate skin with jojoba oil and shea butter. The Baby Oil is perfect to smooth all over skin after a bath and helps seal in that moisture. Both are safe for newborns and contain no fragrances that can irritate skin or lungs.
Volume & Shape Volumizing Mist
Since about 1/4 of my hair fell out with postpartum hormone changes, I’m left with thin and limp hair. While I wait for it to grow back in, I’ve been really happy with how this boosts my remaining strands and gives me a fuller look. I just use 3-4 spritzes on damp hair and comb through before blow drying. I also love the spa-like scent which derived from Bergamot and Spearmint oils (never synthetic fragrances).
I’m not a daily lipstick person but these are perfect for when I want a little color. The consistency is between a lip balm and lipstick. They look dark in the tube but apply sheer and are buildable for more dramatic results! I have Twig and Plum and am eyeing Rose for Spring/Summer.
Color Intense Lipstick
If you ARE a lipstick person, then try these! This one-swipe, long wear formula stays on for hours without overdrying your lips. Get Garden Party for a fun pop of color!
Not only does it remove makeup and clean your skin, it’s ultra-moisturizing and you can leave it on overnight as a treatment. Vit. C helps brighten skin too. I even use it to smooth over cuticles, elbows, and other dry patches. A great multi-tasker that lasts for months!
I hope these recommendations offer a good starting point for products to try. It can be overwhelming when there are so many choices and of course you want to get what works for your skin, which is why I’m here! It would be my pleasure to help you select the right product or regimen that will give you the skin results you’re after. We also carry a 60-day money back guarantee and a free return shipping label with every purchase. Easy peasy! I’m confident you’ll find something you love.
